Welder / Fabricator – 4WD Custom Vehicle Work

About the role

A recruitment agency is advertising two full-time welder/fabricator positions for its client, ARB Mildura, which supplies parts and custom work for four-wheel-drive vehicles. The welder assembles aluminium components according to work instructions and drawings from supervisors and production staff, following standard job builds and SOPs.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble aluminium components to work instructions and drawings, and build jobs to the right standards and within time limits
• Report broken or damaged machinery and make sure problems are tagged out correctly
• Weld and fabricate as required and to specification
• Follow company health and safety policies and government rules
• Take part in toolbox talks and training

Required profile

• Trade qualification in a relevant industry
• Extensive fabrication experience
• Health and safety training is desirable
• Ability to lift, move materials and operate handheld tools and heavier machinery, and to work at height or in confined spaces

Required skills

• Understanding of safe work practices
• Effective communication and attention to detail
