Waste Water Technician

About the role

The Shire of East Pilbara, the largest local government authority in Western Australia, is recruiting a Waste Water Technician in Newman. This is a permanent, full-time position with an annualised salary of up to $124,761.

Required profile

• Demonstrated literacy and numerical skills to Year 10 level.
• Experience applying occupational safety and health practices in an outdoor environment and in confined spaces.
• Current WA 'C' and 'MR' or 'HR' driver's licence.
• Ability to work without constant supervision and to plan and manage own work outputs.
• Basic records and document management skills, and good oral communication skills in a team environment.

Certificates required

• Chemical Handling certificate
• Working in Confined Spaces certificate
• Liquefied Chlorine Gas Operating and Handling licence
• Breathing Apparatus operating licence
