Warehouse Worker

About the role

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is looking for local Warehouse Workers for its Holt Street, Pinkenba branch, to provide warehouse and distribution services to internal and external customers. This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, working 2pm to 10pm or 6am to 2pm, reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor. Candidates must be able to work in a team with routine supervision and follow detailed instructions.

Key responsibilities

• Liaise with management, suppliers and customers on stores operations
• Act as weighing, shipping, receiving or delivery officer, including dispatcher functions
• Receive, receipt, pick, pack and dispatch spare parts and materials
• Assist with inventory control and conduct stock cycle counts and full stock takes
• Prepare shipping documentation and enter data into Sandvik IT systems
• Investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions
• Apply quality control techniques and maintain general warehouse cleanliness

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years' warehouse or stores experience in heavy mining or equipment manufacturing
• Current forklift licence (essential)
• Right to live and work in Australia; pre-employment medical required
• Experience with flexible shifts and rosters

Required skills

• Computer literacy in Microsoft Office
• Ability to learn new systems and implement OH&S policies
