Warehouse Operator / Storeperson (LO Licence)

About the role

A busy automotive parts distribution operation in Lidcombe is looking for an experienced and reliable Warehouse Operator / Storeperson with a current LO licence. The role is primarily hands-on warehouse work, with LO operation forming part of the position as required. It suits someone comfortable working across different warehouse functions rather than solely operating material handling equipment.

The shift runs Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. It is not a full-time LO operating position: although a valid LO licence and operating experience are required, much of the day involves general warehouse operations, order picking, RF scanning, stock handling and dispatch-related duties.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and prepare automotive parts and accessories accurately against customer and internal orders
• Use RF scanners and warehouse systems to locate, pick and process stock
• Operate an LO order picker safely when required
• Pick stock from various warehouse locations and storage levels
• Receive incoming stock and check goods against documentation
• Put away and replenish stock, and assist with packing, labelling and order preparation for dispatch
• Maintain accuracy with a large and varied range of automotive parts
• Carry out basic equipment and pre-start safety checks, and keep the workplace clean, organised and safe
• Follow site procedures, WHS requirements and supervisor instructions

Required profile

• Current Australian LO (order picking forklift) licence and previous LO operating experience
• Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution centre or similar environment
• Experience with RF scanning and order picking
• Good attention to detail, confidence with many SKUs, and strong communication skills
• Reliable, punctual and committed to workplace safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with physical capability for manual handling
• Automotive parts, spare parts, distribution or high-volume warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential
