About the role
Our Wagon Overhaul depot in Jilalan (Sarina) is seeking an experienced trades assistant to join the Coal maintenance division on a permanent basis. You will work alongside boilermakers, fitters and painters to support the overhaul of our wagon fleet.
Key responsibilities
- Assist boilermakers, fitters and painters in completing the wagon overhaul process.
- Perform duties safely in line with WH&S policies and regulations.
- Support quality improvement initiatives to enhance customer service.
- Enter accurate data into information and maintenance management systems.
Required profile
- Safety‑focused trades assistant with a strong work ethic.
- Mechanically minded with high skill in troubleshooting and minor repairs.
- Effective oral, written and interpersonal communication.
- Computer literate and able to work weekends on a rotating roster.
