Vocational Trainer

About the role

Join Sunnyfield Chatswood Vocational Services to support young people with disability, helping them build confidence, develop new skills and take meaningful steps towards independence, employment and community participation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging group and one‑on‑one vocational training.
• Support participants to identify goals, strengths and career pathways.
• Build strong relationships with families, schools, employers and community partners.
• Coordinate work experience, excursions and real‑world learning opportunities.
• Foster confidence, independence and employability skills.
• Maintain accurate participant records and documentation.
• Use technology to enhance learning and engagement.

Required profile

• Genuine passion for supporting young people with disability.
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or similar.
• Experience delivering vocational, employment or skills‑based training.
• Experience supporting people with disability.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Person‑centred approach and commitment to helping people achieve their goals.

Required skills

• Confidence using technology and client management systems.
• Experience with Lumary system (highly regarded).
