Vineyard Operator

About the role
We are looking for a motivated Vineyard Operator to join our team at the Whitlands vineyard site. The role supports daily vineyard activities, operating machinery and performing hands‑on viticulture tasks to help produce premium sparkling wines.
Key responsibilities
- Perform spraying, pruning, vine training, trellis and irrigation repairs, and general vineyard maintenance.
- Operate and maintain vineyard machinery and equipment to a high standard.
- Monitor pests and diseases, assist with frost protection, bird control and crop estimation.
- Participate in harvest operations, including night and weekend work as required.
- Follow safety procedures, take part in safety activities and promote a safe work environment.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of experience in vineyard, agriculture or horticulture (preferred but not essential).
- Tertiary education or qualifications in agriculture, viticulture, horticulture or related fields is a plus.
- Strong understanding of viticultural principles and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport to the winery.
- Excellent communication, reliability and flexibility.
