About the role

Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School is seeking an experienced VCE English teacher to join its Senior School (Years 11‑12) at the Keilor East campus starting January 2027. The role involves delivering high‑quality English and English Language instruction to senior students in a collaborative, evidence‑informed environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach VCE English and VCE English Language to Years 11 and 12.
• Apply current pedagogical practices to enhance student learning and achievement.
• Support student wellbeing and contribute to a positive learning environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues to maintain academic excellence.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of the senior English curriculum and assessment.
• Proven experience teaching VCE English and/or VCE English Language.
• High expectations for student learning and achievement.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
