Underground Nipper / Service Technician / Dump Truck Operator

About the role

AWX is recruiting experienced and entry-level Underground Nippers, Service Technicians and Dump Truck Operators for its client in Cloncurry, Queensland. The work supports daily underground operations, the movement of materials and equipment and safe, productive mining activities. It suits both experienced underground workers and people starting a career in mining.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with underground mining operations and daily production activities
• Operate underground dump trucks to move ore, waste and materials
• Support underground crews with general labouring and operational tasks
• Help install and maintain underground services
• Keep work areas clean, safe and organised
• Follow site procedures, safety standards and supervisor instructions
• Work with crews to meet production targets

Required profile

• Current Australian manual driver's licence (HR driver's licence desirable)
• Previous underground mining experience highly regarded
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
• Ability to pass a National Police Check
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
• Ability to pass site inductions and training
