Loader Operator - Dugald River Underground Mining (FIFO)

About the role

Redpath Mining, a global mining contractor, is looking for an experienced Loader Operator for its underground mining team at the Dugald River Project in Queensland. This is a full-time, permanent position on a 2/2 even-time roster, with FIFO travel. You will safely and efficiently operate underground load-haul-dump (LHD) equipment while helping meet production targets and keeping the site's safety culture strong.

Key responsibilities

• Operate underground loader equipment safely and efficiently in line with site standards and procedures.
• Complete assigned tasks and production activities as directed by Supervisors, supporting site production priorities and plans.
• Apply effective loading techniques to maximise productivity while keeping a safe working environment.
• Maintain work areas to a high standard, including floor conditions, windrow removal, stockpile management and stope brow sprinkler setup.
• Comply with all Redpath and client safety, operational and site-specific procedures at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years' experience operating in an underground mining environment.
• Current Loader Ticket; experience with Sandvik loaders is highly regarded.
• Valid Manual Driver's Licence, current First Aid and CPR, and Working at Heights certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety, upholding the "Safety – First, Last and Always" philosophy.
