Underground Mine Geologist – 8:6 FIFO

About the role

Join Catalyst Metals as an Underground Mine Geologist on an 8:6 FIFO roster based in Perth. You will work closely with mining and technical services to ensure safe, predictable production and maintain a high‑quality geological model.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise ore extraction to minimise dilution and maximise recovery.
• Conduct face mapping, core logging, sampling and QA/QC to guide underground development.
• Provide direction for each development heading and ensure accurate ore tracking to ROM.
• Deliver daily production data and reports as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science majoring in Geology.
• Current C‑class manual driver’s licence.
• Experience in underground mining (preferably gold).
• Strong time‑management, communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D geology software such as SURPAC, Vulcan and Leapfrog.
