Electrical Fitter - Rotating Machinery

About the role

Sulzer is looking for an Electrical Fitter to join its Laverton North Service Centre. The role covers repair and maintenance of low and high voltage electrical rotating machinery, with occasional onsite repairs.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain LV and HV electrical rotating machinery
• Assemble and disassemble electrical rotating equipment
• Conduct static and dynamic tests on electrical equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Rewind electric motors and generators
• Perform balancing on motors
• Order spare parts in a timely way when needed
• Follow the Supervisor's directions for day-to-day operations
• Attend onsite when required to carry out repairs

Required profile

• CERT III in Electrotechnology or above, or equivalent
• Experience repairing and rewinding DC motors, medium to high voltage electrical motors and generators
• Excellent time management and strong teamwork skills
• Dedication to maintaining a safe work environment
