Trimmer Operator (Casual)

About the role

Our Print Centre is looking for a casual Trimmer Operator to join the production team. You will safely operate trimmer equipment that creates newspaper inserts and support related packaging tasks. The role runs on late‑afternoon or night shifts, offering 20‑25 hours per week.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor trimmer machinery in accordance with safety standards.
• Check product quality and ensure trimming meets specified dimensions.
• Assist with side work such as packaging and handling of newspaper inserts.
• Collaborate with other operators for training and shift coverage.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a factory or manufacturing environment is advantageous.
• Strong commitment to safety policies and manual handling capability.
• Ability to work under time constraints and adapt to a 7‑day roster.
• Willingness to cover additional shifts at short notice.

Required skills

• Forklift licence (advantageous).
