Travel Consultant – Inbound Travel (Remote)

About the role

An experienced Travel Consultant is needed to support a well‑established inbound tour operator. The role involves planning and delivering itineraries for international clients, ensuring smooth travel experiences from quotation to post‑travel follow‑up. This full‑time remote position is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional passionate about inbound tourism.

Key responsibilities

• Quote and coordinate inbound itineraries, providing expert knowledge of the company’s tour products.
• Advise clients on local attractions, activities and destinations to enhance their experience.
• Monitor group arrivals, manage on‑the‑ground operations and resolve travel disruptions promptly.
• Deliver exceptional customer service from initial contact through post‑travel follow‑up.
• Track deposits, payments and confirmations, and support reporting and documentation processes.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners, staying updated on new products through research and industry events.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in inbound tourism or tour operations, focusing on FIT or group travel.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities with high attention to detail.
• Proven capability to manage client and supplier relationships.
• Good knowledge of Australian tourism products and destinations.
• Additional language skills (German, French or Spanish) and experience with international travel agents are a plus.
