Trainer & Assessor – Casual/Subcontractor

About the role

SGS Academy is seeking experienced industry professionals to deliver accredited and non‑accredited training across Newcastle, Mount Thorley and surrounding regions. This casual or subcontractor position offers flexibility for those wishing to complement existing work or take on additional training engagements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging training sessions in classroom, virtual and on‑site environments.
• Prepare training materials, assess competency and provide practical learner support.
• Maintain accurate training and assessment records in line with RTO requirements.
• Contribute to resource development, validation, audits and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent qualification.
• Relevant vocational qualifications, licences and current industry competency for the courses delivered.
• Experience delivering VET programs and competency‑based assessment.
• Current driver’s licence and flexibility to travel between SGS locations and client sites, including occasional overnight stays.
