Traffic Scheduler

About the role

Service Stream Traffic Management is seeking an experienced, highly organised Traffic Scheduler to join its growing Traffic Management team in Dandenong South, Victoria. Reporting to the Traffic Operations Manager, the role coordinates traffic management activities, schedules resources and supports operational teams so that works are delivered safely, efficiently and on time across multiple client networks and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, cost and coordinate traffic management works
• Manage daily bookings, schedules and resource allocations
• Coordinate traffic controllers, vehicles, equipment and subcontractors
• Schedule and monitor work orders to ensure timely, safe delivery
• Oversee daily operations and respond to changing priorities
• Assist with the planning and delivery of major events and traffic management projects
• Prepare operational reports and update management
• Manage timesheets and administrative requirements
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal stakeholders
• Ensure works comply with Traffic Management Plans (TMPs), Australian Standards, AGTTM requirements, Codes of Practice and company procedures
• Report incidents, operational issues and safety concerns; support weekend works and major events when needed

Required profile

• Previous experience in traffic management, scheduling, workforce coordination or operational planning
• At least 1 year of experience in the traffic management industry
• Current Traffic Management qualifications and tickets relevant to the role
• Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Legally entitled to work in Australia
• Experience coordinating major events and large-scale traffic management projects
• Availability for flexible hours and weekends when required

Required skills

• Knowledge of TMPs, traffic guidance schemes, AGTTM, AS1742.3 and Victorian traffic management requirements
• Experience using scheduling, rostering or workforce management systems
• Strong organisational, time-management and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail, accuracy and computer literacy
