Traffic Controllers & Team Leaders – Melbourne & Geelong

About the role

We are seeking experienced Traffic Controllers and Team Leaders for casual, on‑site work across Melbourne and Geelong. You will be responsible for directing the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians on construction, rail or events sites, ensuring full compliance with relevant safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate traffic control devices, signage and barriers on job sites.
• Direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic to maintain safe site operations.
• Monitor compliance with the Building & Construction Award and site‑specific safety plans.
• For Team Leaders, supervise and mentor junior controllers and coordinate with site managers.

Required profile

• Australian work rights (citizenship, permanent residency or valid visa).
• Valid driver’s licence (own vehicle preferred) and White Card.
• Current TC2 and TMI2 traffic management tickets (mandatory).
• Own PPE: hard hat, hi‑vis clothing, steel‑capped boots and two‑way radio.
• Reliable, punctual, physically fit and safety‑focused.

Required skills

• TC2 certification.
• TMI2 certification.
• White Card.
• Level 2 First Aid (preferred).
• Electrical Spotter awareness (optional).
