Trades Workforce Manager

About the role

ABN Group, a builder, property and home finance company founded over 45 years ago, is looking for a Trades Workforce Manager in Perth, WA. You will lead the onboarding, relocation and settlement journey for internationally recruited tradespeople, mainly from the Philippines, and help them feel supported and set up for success at work and in the local community. The role combines leadership, employee experience and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Lead workforce onboarding and integration by managing employee visas, relocation and settlement programs for overseas-recruited tradespeople.
• Oversee accommodation sourcing, settlement assistance and ongoing employee support, resolving issues proactively.
• Maintain accurate records, case management processes and workforce data while complying with company policies, privacy requirements and migration obligations.
• Partner with internal leaders and external service providers, and give insights, reporting and recommendations to senior management.
• Lead, coach and develop direct reports, support performance development, manage workforce planning and foster a collaborative team culture.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience in international workforce mobilisation of tradespeople, employee relocation and visa coordination in a similar environment.
• Proven leadership experience leading, mentoring and developing teams.
• Highly organised, able to coordinate multiple priorities and competing deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with external service providers, subcontractors and employees.
• Analytical, process-driven and detail-oriented, with a focus on compliance and employee experience.
