Trade Assistant (Carpenter, Boilermaker, Fitter, Electrician, Plumber)
Perfect Hire · Marrickville
Job description
About the role
Perfect Hire, the labour hire arm of Perfect Group, is hiring trade assistants for carpenters, boilermakers, fitters, concrete cutters, electricians and plumbers on construction and industrial sites across Sydney, New South Wales and South East Queensland. The role sits between labouring and a trade: you work with a tradesperson every day, holding a couple of tickets and being trusted to set up, measure, cut and finish under direction.
Most work is on Tier 1 sites around Sydney and New South Wales, with a Queensland base at Slacks Creek; much of the work comes in at short notice. The position is listed as full-time, temporary and contractor.
Required profile
- Tickets held by the applicant
- Experience and current tickets matter, as does the site; applicants are asked to tell Perfect Hire what they are working on now
- Applicants who are part way through an apprenticeship or a trade certificate should say so
What we offer
- Pay depends on tickets, experience and the site
- Long hours, weekend shifts and travel work pay more
- Daily attendance gives first pick of the next job
