Topology Program Manager, Inbound Supply Chain
Amazon · Melbourne
Job description
About the role
Amazon is seeking an Inbound Topology Program Manager to define and deliver the future state of its inbound supply chain network. The role sits in the Supply Chain Long Term Planning team and shapes upstream topology across IXD (Inbound Cross Dock), SDC (Storage and Distribution Centers) and other inbound network initiatives. It owns the strategic direction and end-to-end delivery of programs that improve cost, speed and scalability, requiring strong ownership, deep analytical capability and the ability to influence without authority across Stores, Finance and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Define and evolve long-term inbound network strategy across IXD, SDC and emerging upstream models, evaluating trade-offs between inventory placement, transportation cost and lead time, and translating growth plans into scalable network designs.
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional programs from concept through launch and stabilization, building multi-year roadmaps with milestones, risks and dependencies.
- Align Supply Chain, Operations, Stores, Finance, Tech and partner teams; use data to validate strategies and build business cases with financial modelling, scenario analysis and ROI evaluation.
- Establish metrics to measure network performance and program success, balancing customer experience, cost-to-serve and inventory efficiency.
- Influence senior stakeholders without direct authority, lead decisions in ambiguous situations and communicate through written narratives and executive reviews.
- Pilot and scale new inbound capabilities and operating models, and build repeatable frameworks and tools for long-term network planning.
Required profile
- 5+ years of program or project management experience.
- Experience owning program strategy and end-to-end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership.
- Experience in complex problem solving and in a tight schedule environment, working cross-functionally with non-tech teams.
- Preferred: 2+ years driving process improvements; Master's degree or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or a related field.
