Regional Business Development Manager - Intermodal

About the role

Linfox operates one of Australia's largest intermodal networks, delivering rail and road freight solutions. It is seeking an experienced Regional Business Development Manager for its Intermodal team, based in Acacia Ridge and reporting to the General Manager Operations. The role identifies, develops and secures new business while building long-term customer partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, pursue and secure strategic growth opportunities across target markets, customers and industry sectors.
• Partner with customers to understand their needs and develop tailored logistics and supply chain solutions.
• Lead end-to-end tender, bid and proposal processes, coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Analyse customer, operational and market data to build business cases, commercial models and growth strategies.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline with accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking and reporting.
• Drive commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
• Collaborate with Operations, Commercial, Finance, Safety and Executive stakeholders.

Required profile

• Proven success in senior business development, sales leadership or commercial roles in transport, logistics, supply chain or related fields.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex tenders, bids and proposals from qualification to contract award.
• Experience in complex operational environments and turning customer requirements into practical solutions.

Required skills

• Strong commercial capability, including negotiation and contract work.
• Advanced analytical skills for interpreting large data sets.
• Stakeholder engagement and presentation skills with a customer-first mindset.
