Toolmaker (Mould and Press Tools) - Sydney

About the role

A well-established Australian toolmaking, precision engineering and manufacturing company designs and manufactures plastic, silicone and diecast injection moulds and press tools, as well as CNC precision engineering, general machining, repairs, maintenance, welding and fabrication. It is recruiting a Toolmaker for a full-time, on-site position in Sydney, working with a diverse customer base across many industry sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain precision tools, moulds and equipment
• CNC machining and repairs
• Welding and fabrication where required
• Produce high-quality tools and products

Required profile

• Expertise in plastic injection mould and press toolmaking
• Relevant experience in the manufacturing industry
• Technical certification or vocational training in a related field
• Knowledge of materials and tooling techniques

Required skills

• CNC machining (desirable)
• Reading technical drawings and blueprints
• Attention to detail and precision
• Problem-solving skills
