Bus Mechanic (Diesel) - Sydney, 482 Visa Sponsorship Available

About the role

A leading Pan-Australian coach company is looking for three bus and coach mechanics to join its team in its modern workshops in Sydney. It is a permanent, full-time position for an experienced diesel mechanic who has worked on a variety of coaches and buses. The role is stand-alone, so you must be comfortable working without instruction as well as within a team.

Key responsibilities

• Schedule maintenance for vehicles
• Carry out preventative maintenance
• Perform ongoing repairs to vehicles

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years post-trade experience or a relevant trade certificate
• Experience on Mercedes, Volvo, Scania, Iveco or UD buses and coaches preferred
• Valid driver's licence
• Ideally an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or someone with permanent residency; otherwise international applicants may be sponsored on a 482 (TSS) visa

Required skills

• Outstanding troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Electrical and hydraulic fault finding
• Good written and oral communication across all levels of the organisation
• Ability to drive and promote OH&S in the workplace
