Textile and Graphics Designer – 12‑month parental leave cover

About the role

Seafolly is looking for an experienced Textile and Graphics Designer to join its design team on a 12‑month parental‑leave cover. Based in Alexandria, NSW, you will work in a hybrid model (four days onsite, one day remote) to create original, commercially viable prints and graphics that reinforce the brand’s swimwear identity.

Key responsibilities

• Create original in‑house textile designs, including repeat yardages, placement artwork, graphics, and branding concepts.
• Manage the end‑to‑end design development process from concept through production, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Maintain design trackers, coordinate with overseas factories, review samples and provide clear feedback.
• Attend fittings, assess placement artwork, and resolve design or production issues.
• Conduct trend research across runway, market and competitor collections to align designs with brand direction.
• Develop range books, handling layout design, image selection and retouching as needed.
• Collaborate with patternmaking, production and other cross‑functional teams to ensure efficient workflows.
• Deliver commercially viable designs on time while maintaining strong attention to detail.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of textile design experience, preferably in women’s swimwear, beachwear or accessories.
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Excel.
• Ability to conduct hands‑on design research and analyse market and consumer trends.
• Demonstrated professionalism, brand advocacy and a commitment to continuous improvement.
• Active contributor to a positive, collaborative team culture.
