Test Technician – Electrical Testing

About the role

Alstom is seeking a Test Technician to join its Ballarat team on the X'Trapolis 2.0 rail project. You will work alongside motivated teammates to perform electrical testing on trains, ensuring safety and reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, diagnose and rectify electrical faults on train components.
• Conduct fault diagnosis and troubleshooting in line with established procedures.
• Record test results accurately and maintain detailed documentation.
• Comply with safety standards and promote teamwork on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Motivated, proactive individual with a passion for problem solving.
• Holder of a Grade Electrical licence.
• Experience in troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Team player with prior exposure to train, rail, automotive or industrial electrical testing (not mandatory).
