Territory Manager, Neurosurgery (12-Month Maternity Contract)

About the role

Medtronic is looking for an experienced Territory Manager to join its Neurosurgery and Enabling Technologies team in Brisbane, Queensland. This is a 12-month maternity leave contract reporting to the Regional Sales Manager. The portfolio covers imaging, navigation, robotics, hydrocephalus therapy and cranial critical care, and the team is part of the Cranial and Spinal Technologies portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans to meet or exceed sales targets while keeping a professional image for Medtronic in the marketplace.
• Report regularly, meaningfully and concisely to the Regional Sales Manager.
• Support theatre cases and train and educate clinical end users and hospital staff on products, including updates, trials and in-services.
• Gather market intelligence through observation, discussion and research.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with key customers and key opinion leaders.
• Maintain the highest level of product and technical knowledge and stay aware of competing products.
• Expand territory management and selling skills, working individually and as part of the wider team.

Required profile

• High school diploma and 8+ years of relevant sales or clinical experience, or an associate's degree and 6+ years, or a bachelor's degree and 4+ years.
• Experience in medical device sales, capital equipment sales or clinical support in a surgical healthcare environment.
• Experience supporting procedures in operating theatres and delivering technical product expertise and customer education.
• Ability to travel throughout the territory and attend customer meetings, training events and conferences.
• Valid driver's licence and ability to manage a geographically dispersed territory.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience in neurosurgery, spine, robotics, navigation, imaging or enabling technologies.
• Clinical background in neuroscience, nursing, radiography, biomedical engineering or a related healthcare discipline.
• Knowledge of competitive neurosurgery and surgical technology markets.
