Technology Site Consultant - MineStar Implementation

About the role

Caterpillar's MineStar Implementation team is looking for an energetic and committed person to join its technology group in the Perth office (Adelaide or Brisbane also considered). You will implement the MineStar underground product suite (Command for underground and Fleet/Detect for Underground) at new customer sites and for upgrades to existing customers, supporting dealers and customers through installation, configuration, debugging, testing and integration.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure the complete underground MineStar system to meet commercial contract and site-specific needs
• Plan and run integrated testing and customer acceptance testing, and lead end-to-end implementations and upgrades
• Train end users and system administrators, and provide basic training on standard implementation processes
• Collaborate with customers to meet ICT prerequisites, hardware, software, network and compatibility requirements
• Develop and run detailed deployment, upgrade, testing and rollout plans across lab, UAT and production environments
• Install, configure, commission and optimise application software, databases, reporting tools and integrated systems
• Support business analysis, UAT, commissioning and go-live, then provide hypercare support and technical documentation after deployment

Required profile

• Technical bachelor's degree and/or relevant experience in an IT/technical/engineering role
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing technical software systems, preferably in a mining environment
• Experience with mining heavy vehicle onboard technology installation, configuration and commissioning
• Experience in fleet management implementations and underground mining is highly desirable
• Ability to work independently and in a multi-disciplinary team, and to handle up to 25% domestic and international travel

Required skills

• Knowledge of IT system architectures, enterprise computing infrastructure and cybersecurity
• Field support and post-sales support experience
• Consulting, customer focus, effective communication and problem-solving skills

The position is full-time and requires onsite work five days a week. Visa sponsorship is available for eligible applicants.
