Technology Lead (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned Technology Lead to design, develop, and maintain critical applications and scripts in a UNIX/Linux environment. This fully remote position requires strong expertise in database management, shell scripting, and automation to ensure reliable production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support applications and scripts on UNIX/Linux platforms.
• Write efficient, optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting.
• Perform database tuning, query optimization, and performance analysis.
• Automate routine tasks using Bash or KornShell scripting.
• Monitor batch jobs, troubleshoot production issues, and manage job scheduling.
• Collaborate with application teams, DBAs, and business stakeholders.
• Manage file processing, system‑level configurations, and ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Participate in code reviews and deployment processes.

Required profile

• Strong command‑line proficiency in UNIX/Linux.
• Experience with cron jobs, file‑system management, and process handling.
• Proven ability to work in production support environments.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development practices.
