Technology Assurance Senior Manager

About the role

Protiviti is seeking a Technology Assurance Senior Manager to lead its IT Audit & Technology Assurance team in Sydney. You will bridge strategic growth of the practice with hands‑on delivery for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee a portfolio of IT audit and technology assurance engagements, managing budgets, resources and work‑in‑progress.
• Review engagement quality, working papers and draft reports to ensure compliance with Protiviti methodology.
• Act as primary client contact, managing expectations, resolving conflicts and identifying new business opportunities.
• Lead proposal development, including technical drafting of statements of work.
• Contribute to internal initiatives such as community working groups, training and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Collaborate across service lines to deliver a seamless, ‘one‑firm’ experience for clients.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in technology assurance, IT audit, technology risk or internal audit, with 3‑4 years in a management role.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Business Information Systems, Accounting, Audit or related field.
• Mandatory CISA certification; additional certifications (CISM, CIPP, CDPSE, CISSP, CRISC) are a strong plus.
• Industry expertise in sectors such as financial services, public sector, energy, or healthcare.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of COBIT, NIST and ISO 27001 frameworks.
• Experience with cybersecurity reviews, data governance, privacy reviews, ITGC, generative AI and third‑party risk management.
• Proficiency with data‑analytics tools such as Alteryx and SQL, and familiarity with generative AI technologies.
