Technician - Maintenance (VIC)

About the role

Whitehaven Coal is building a top‑tier team at its new Vickery site. This permanent role offers a balanced work‑life schedule with DIDO, camp accommodation and meals on roster, and the chance to work on CAT and Hitachi equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled maintenance and repairs on mobile plant.
• Respond to breakdowns to keep machinery operating.
• Follow safety procedures, anticipate issues and report hazards.
• Complete work orders promptly without follow‑up.
• Support crew members when needed.

Required profile

• Solid trade skills with a strong safety mindset.
• Background in mining or heavy industry.
• Trade qualified as Plant or Diesel Fitter with NSW Certificate of Proficiency.
• Sound knowledge of CAT and Hitachi machinery.
• High‑risk tickets such as EWP, Forklift or Crane are a plus.

Required skills

• NSW Certificate of Proficiency.
• EWP, Forklift or Crane high‑risk ticket (optional).
