Technical Trainer – Mobile Equipment

About the role

The Technical Trainer – Mobile Equipment will deliver compliance training and competency assessments for heavy mobile equipment across MACA mining sites. Reporting to the Technical Trainer Superintendent, you will work on an 8:6 roster, travelling between sites while based in Welshpool.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and manage compliance training and competency assessments for heavy mobile equipment.
• Uphold HSEQ standards by working safely, reporting hazards/incidents and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate training with Project Managers and Supervisors to support workforce development.
• Maintain accurate training records, complete documentation and provide regular activity reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement through high‑quality training delivery and process enhancements.

Required profile

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in an open‑pit production mining environment.
• Strong self‑motivation and ability to work independently.
• Current WA driver’s licence (High Risk Work Licence preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Operation of heavy mobile equipment: dump trucks, dozers, graders, excavators.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
