Technical Services & Fleet Compliance Manager

About the role

Centurion is looking for a Technical Services & Fleet Compliance Manager to lead national compliance across its transport operations. The role manages regulatory relationships, oversees Performance-Based Standards (PBS) approvals and drives fleet compliance, working with internal teams and external stakeholders to support business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead national compliance activities and maintain strong relationships with the NHVR and relevant state transport authorities.
• Oversee internal compliance reviews, external audits and accreditation requirements, and manage corrective actions.
• Manage PBS vehicle approvals, modifications, permits and associated compliance requirements.
• Educate and support employees and contractors on their Chain of Responsibility (COR) obligations and PBS requirements.
• Work with operations, equipment teams, manufacturers and external engineering providers to develop compliant vehicle combinations and solutions.
• Conduct regular fleet and PBS compliance audits, keep accurate records and provide timely information to regulators.
• Support technical and compliance assessments during accident and incident investigations.
• Mentor direct reports and foster a strong safety and compliance culture.

Required profile

• Experienced transport or logistics professional with strong leadership capabilities.
• Extensive experience in a leadership role within transport, logistics or a related industry.
• Tertiary qualification in business, logistics or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to mentor others, manage competing priorities and drive continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of road transport operations, regulatory requirements and fleet compliance.
• Experience managing audits, accreditations and stakeholder relationships with regulatory authorities.
• Knowledge of PBS approvals, vehicle modifications and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
