Technical Lead – Network Security

About the role

Accenture’s CyberCX team is seeking a senior Technical Lead for Network Security to join its Managed Security Engineering group in Brisbane. The role is hands‑on, acting as the escalation point for complex enterprise environments and driving proactive engineering outcomes across Fortinet and Palo Alto platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for Fortinet/FortiGate and Palo Alto firewalls, including policy, NAT, VPN/IPsec, HA, SD‑WAN and traffic flow.
• Lead major P1/P2 incidents, coordinating technical response, root‑cause analysis and post‑incident improvements.
• Review customer environments, identify technical risks and gaps, and develop improvement plans.
• Configure, upgrade, patch and optimise production firewalls using FortiManager and Panorama.
• Mentor engineers, build troubleshooting capability and promote automation with Ansible, Terraform or scripting.

Required profile

• Extensive production experience in enterprise network security, preferably within managed services or consulting.
• Proven ability to assess unfamiliar environments, communicate technical recommendations and act as a trusted advisor.
• Strong change‑management discipline and experience handling large, live production environments.
