Technical Director – Major Projects, Building Services

About the role

AECOM is seeking a Technical Director with extensive building services experience to lead major projects across Australia. This senior leadership position combines technical design, project delivery, commercial management and business development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide senior technical and design leadership on large multidisciplinary building engineering projects, ensuring quality, schedule and budget compliance.
• Lead project teams, manage client relationships, and deliver a portfolio of projects from concept through completion.
• Drive business development activities including proposals, tender interviews and client engagement to win new work.
• Oversee commercial aspects such as budgets, pricing, contracts and financial performance.

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Fire/Hydraulics Engineering with ~20 years of Australian building services experience.
• Chartered Engineer status and appropriate professional registrations.
• Proven senior leadership experience in technical, project or business roles.
• Strong commercial acumen and a track record of client engagement and business development.
