About the role
AECOM is seeking a Technical Director level Electrical Engineer to lead its national building engineering team in Perth. This senior position offers leadership of multidisciplinary building services engineers and involvement in landmark projects across Australia and New Zealand.
Key responsibilities
- Lead delivery of complex, multi‑disciplinary building projects across health, education, defence, transport, commercial, aviation, sports and data centre sectors.
- Provide technical leadership and governance for electrical building services design, ensuring compliance with Australian codes, standards and best‑practice engineering principles.
- Review design calculations, specifications, models and documentation to drive innovation and high‑quality outcomes.
- Build and maintain client relationships, support business development and secure a pipeline of high‑profile projects.
- Mentor and develop a multidisciplinary services engineering team, fostering technical excellence and a high‑performance culture.
Required profile
- Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with 20+ years of consultancy experience delivering complex building services projects.
- Chartership with Engineers Australia (CPEng) or equivalent registration; eligible for state professional registration (RPEQ/RPEV).
- Extensive technical expertise in electrical building services design and deep knowledge of Australian codes, standards and regulations.
- Proven project and commercial management experience leading multi‑disciplinary teams on high‑profile, technically challenging projects.
- Australian citizenship and eligibility for Defence Security Clearance are highly preferred.
