Team Manager - Water Infrastructure

About the role

AECOM's Water Infrastructure team is looking for a Team Manager to join its Cairns office. The role combines technical excellence with team leadership and works alongside specialists across Australia, New Zealand and the global network. It suits an experienced water infrastructure engineering professional who wants to take the next step in their career.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the team to drive growth, innovation and top-tier performance
• Foster business development by building strong client partnerships and expanding AECOM's market presence
• Cultivate a collaborative, safe and high-performing team culture while mentoring engineers, giving technical direction and helping grow the talent pipeline
• Guide financial and operational success through planning, team alignment and resource management

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, with CPEng and/or RPEQ (highly desired)
• Demonstrated experience in the water infrastructure industry and in a consulting environment
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
• Passion for mentoring, leadership and collaboration
• Commercial and strategic acumen, able to balance profitability, efficiency and market insight
