Team Manager

About the role

The Tasmania Jewels are launching their inaugural season in the WNBL and need a proactive Team Manager to build the operational foundation. You will act as the connective tissue between athletes, coaches and the operations team, ensuring the environment runs smoothly so performance can thrive.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and run the daily training environment, including courts, equipment and nutrition, before the team arrives.
• Plan, coordinate and execute every away trip from flight bookings to game‑day logistics.
• Prepare change rooms and game‑day venues, both home and away, ahead of schedule.
• Maintain player records, budgets, rosters and schedules to avoid any booking delays.
• Design and implement the systems and structures that will support the program for years to come.
• Keep the Head Coach informed about travel plans, day‑to‑day logistics and any operational changes.

Required profile

• Think two steps ahead and anticipate needs before they arise.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and comfortable building new processes.
• Proactive with suppliers and partners, preventing issues before they occur.
• Able to work at pace across many moving parts and adapt to changing priorities.
• Flexible to work nights and weekends during the season.
• Valid driver’s licence and eligibility for a WWVP check.
