Team Leader – Water Infrastructure

About the role

AECOM is expanding its Water Infrastructure team in New South Wales due to significant contract awards in its ANZ Water business. The group serves internal and external clients on water and wastewater treatment, dams, asset management, major conveyance, industrial, civil infrastructure, mining and defence projects, with a focus on sustainable outcomes. The Team Leader plays a key role in technical practice leadership and works alongside experts, collaborating with interstate and international offices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to the team, mentoring junior engineers and designers and helping build the talent pipeline
• Take part in managing projects from inception, including bidding, concept design, detailed design, tendering and construction-phase support
• Ensure quality assurance processes are followed, delivering projects on time and within budget
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients across a range of sectors

Required profile

• Relevant tertiary qualification and CPEng
• Ideally 15+ years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience in water and/or wastewater projects
• Knowledge of applicable Australian codes and standards
• Passion for high-quality work, mentoring, leadership and collaboration, with strong client and stakeholder engagement skills
