Team Lead – Senior Technical Advisor (Power Systems)

About the role

KBR's Infrastructure Solutions business is hiring a Team Lead – Senior Technical Advisor in Melbourne. As Power Systems Team Lead, you will lead a team of electrical engineers and drafters who deliver investigations, designs, specifications and technical services for major infrastructure projects. The role also contributes to proposal development and strategic client engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and mentor engineers
• Manage resources and oversee project performance
• Build strong client relationships
• Develop team capability and maintain technical excellence
• Contribute to business growth, proposal development and strategic client engagement

Required profile

• Highly experienced engineering professional with a strong background in high voltage and power systems design and delivery in a consulting or infrastructure environment
• Proven track record of leading technical teams, managing project delivery and building client relationships
• Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring engineering teams
• Experience delivering multidisciplinary projects to budget, schedule and quality requirements
• Significant management and leadership industry experience (20+ years highly regarded)

Required skills

• Management and leadership in power systems, transmission, distribution or rail traction systems
• Proposal development and project management experience
• Stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to coach and develop engineers, designers and drafters
• Proactive approach to business development and client engagement
