Site Manager - Industrial Project

About the role

An established commercial builder is seeking a hands-on Site Manager to oversee the delivery of a $1m industrial project in Melbourne's northern suburbs. The builder has a strong pipeline of commercial and industrial projects and offers a supportive working environment with opportunities for ongoing work.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations from commencement through to practical completion.
• Coordinate subcontractors, trades and suppliers to keep the project programme on track.
• Oversee structural steel, concrete works, services installation and final finishes.
• Maintain high standards of site safety, quality and compliance.
• Manage site inspections, deliveries and subcontractor performance.
• Work closely with the Project Manager to resolve construction issues and achieve milestones.
• Conduct site meetings and maintain accurate site documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Site Manager or Site Supervisor in commercial construction.
• Previous experience delivering industrial, warehouse or commercial projects.
• Ability to independently manage subcontractors and day-to-day site activities.
• Current White Card and relevant trade or construction qualifications.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of structural steel, concrete construction and general building works.
• Excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills.
