Teacher – Vocational Programs at Fulham Correctional Centre

About the role

The Fulham Correctional Centre, part of Bendigo Kangan Institute, is seeking dynamic trainers to deliver vocational programmes that support rehabilitation and future employment pathways for adults in custody.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver paper‑based, high‑impact vocational training in areas such as cleaning, civil construction, horticulture and business.
• Adapt teaching methods to the custodial environment, managing diverse learning needs and maintaining a controlled classroom setting.

Required profile

• Completed TAE40110 / TAE40116 / TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or currently enrolled).
• Relevant qualifications and experience in the chosen vocational area, with prior teaching experience preferred.
• Passion for teaching adult learners in a correctional setting and ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence and resilience.

Required skills

• Working with Children Clearance (WWCC), current police check and right‑to‑work documentation.
• Certified copies of qualifications and transcripts.
