Tax Manager

About the role

NTT DATA is looking for an experienced, commercially‑focused Tax Manager to lead all Australian tax compliance and reporting activities. Working closely with the Group Financial Controller, you will have broad involvement across tax planning, risk management and governance for the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review company income tax returns.
• Oversee BAS, GST, FBT and PAYG compliance.
• Manage quarterly tax effect accounting and deferred tax calculations.
• Coordinate ATO Top 1,000 Combined Assurance Reviews and related documentation.
• Lead external tax testing, anti‑hybrid mismatch rule compliance and OECD Pillar Two reporting.
• Monitor Australian tax legislation changes and advise on impacts.
• Provide tax advice on transactions, restructurings and business initiatives.
• Maintain transfer‑pricing documentation and support Country‑by‑Country reporting.
• Assist external auditors with income‑tax audit requirements.
• Prepare and present tax updates to the Board of Directors.
• Improve internal tax processes, controls and governance frameworks.
• Mentor and develop junior finance/tax staff.

Required profile

• CA or CPA qualification.
• 10+ years of Australian tax experience (Big 4, mid‑tier, public practice or industry).
• Strong knowledge of Australian corporate tax, GST and FBT legislation.
• Experience dealing with the ATO and tax audits.
• Excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and produce high‑quality work.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Australian corporate tax, GST, FBT and transfer‑pricing rules.
• Familiarity with OECD Pillar Two (Global Minimum Tax) requirements.
• Experience with tax compliance software and reporting tools.
