Tax Consultant

About the role

The Tax Consultant will deliver expert tax advisory and compliance services to a varied portfolio of individual and business clients, working remotely on a full‑time basis.

Key responsibilities

• Review financial information and prepare and lodge tax returns.
• Advise clients on tax‑efficient structures and support ATO queries and dispute resolution.
• Conduct tax research, interpret legislation and translate complex issues into clear guidance.
• Collaborate with internal teams on accounting, business structuring and international tax matters while maintaining accurate documentation and meeting deadlines.

Required profile

• Strong expertise in tax planning, strategy and compliance for individuals and businesses.
• Practical experience with tax audits, ATO dispute management and evidence gathering.
• Solid understanding of Australian tax law and ability to research complex legislation.
• Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, law or related field; CPA, CA or registered tax agent preferred.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
