Talent Acquisition Coordinator

About the role

LGM Industries, a construction and maintenance contractor specialising in structural, mechanical and piping services for the Western Australian resources and energy sectors, is looking for a Talent Acquisition Coordinator. The role supports the recruitment of skilled trades and professionals across Structural, Mechanical & Piping (SMP), Projects, Shutdowns, Construction and Maintenance work across Western Australia. It suits a sales-focused, relationship-driven person who proactively sources and engages candidates to build a strong talent pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Proactively identify and target skilled tradespeople, supervisors, project engineers and managers through direct outreach, industry research and networking.
• Build and maintain a database of potential candidates, keeping regular contact to develop long-term relationships.
• Initiate telephone conversations with prospective candidates and build interest in current and future opportunities.
• Follow up with priority candidates to understand their availability, career aspirations and interest in joining LGM.
• Attend industry events, shows and networking functions to find and connect with potential talent.
• Work with the marketing coordinator on targeted approaches to attract people with the right skills and experience.
• Work with business development and tendering teams to align talent pipelines with upcoming workforce needs.
• Track candidate engagement, database growth, relationships and recruitment outcomes against agreed targets.

• Commercially minded, with a sales-focused approach to recruitment.
• Confident making calls and engaging people who may not be actively looking.
• Understands recruitment as building trust and a pipeline of talent for future growth.
