Talent Acquisition Consultant (Fixed-Term)

About the role

CQUniversity is recruiting a Talent Acquisition Consultant for its Student Success Division in Rockhampton, within the People and Culture Directorate. This is a fixed-term, full-time position until 31 January 2028 at Higher Education Worker Level 5. The role supports recruitment across the University by coordinating end-to-end recruitment activities through the SAP SuccessFactors system, building relationships with stakeholders and advising on recruitment processes, policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare engaging job advertisements and tailor written content to different audiences.
• Coordinate recruitment activities and review vacancy requests so that position details and approvals are correct.
• Prepare and issue employment documentation, including offer letters and employment contracts.
• Provide advice on recruitment processes, policies and procedures to support a smooth experience for candidates and hiring managers.

Required profile

• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships across teams.
• Ability to manage competing deadlines, stay organised and keep recruitment activities on track.
• Ability to interpret policies, procedures and enterprise agreements and give clear, practical guidance to stakeholders.
• Initiative, proactivity in problem-solving and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Background in administration, customer service, recruitment or HR support is welcome.
• Full right to work in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available.

Required skills

• Confidence using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems and digital platforms.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in preparing documentation.

What we offer

• Total remuneration of $99,443 to $111,863 per year, including salary of $84,031 to $94,526 plus 17% superannuation and leave loading.
• 17% superannuation, with the option to join a superfund.
• 5.4 weeks annual leave, plus 3 working days at Christmas and New Year closure.
• 10 days personal/sick leave and 5 days carer's leave.
