Senior People Partner (Temporary, up to 6 months)

About the role

A high-growth SaaS organisation operating across ANZ is looking for an experienced People Partner to provide stability and leadership across core people operations during a period of transition. The business has 100+ staff and a strong engineering and product culture, and needs someone who can work autonomously while keeping day-to-day operations running. This is a temporary role of up to 6 months, based in Sydney, and suits someone who enjoys variety and independence.

Key responsibilities

• Core HR operations: lead onboarding and offboarding (recruitment handled separately), manage the performance review cycle (May-June) and salary review cycle (July), which are already configured in the HRIS, and coordinate training and development requests within budget.
• Employee relations and leader support: give practical guidance on low-volume ER matters such as leader coaching and interpersonal issues, act as first point of contact for employees and managers, and liaise with an external migration agent on visa queries.
• Culture and engagement: interpret results from the recent employee engagement survey, support a hybrid workforce with many introverted technical staff, and help maintain an inclusive, high-performance culture.
• Systems and tools: work with intuitive HR systems (BambooHR or similar is helpful but not essential) and partner with Payroll and Finance on cyclical processes such as bonuses.

Required profile

• 7+ years of HR experience, ideally in a Senior People Partner or HRBP role.
• Experience working independently and switching between administrative and more complex work.
• Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and HR best practice.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication and coaching skills.
• Tech-savvy and adaptable; experience in technology or high-growth environments is a bonus.
• Available at short notice.

Required skills
