Systems Modeller – Digital Engineering

About the role

KBR is seeking experienced Systems Modellers to drive modelling and simulation activities for major Defence technology programmes, including C4ISR, SATCOM, Space, Air Defence and other critical capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Capture and model concepts, requirements and designs for complex Defence programmes.
• Perform mission engineering using mission threads and scenarios.
• Develop and sustain MBSE architectures with tools such as CATIA, Cameo, Enterprise Architect, AFSIM or ANSYS.
• Ensure integration and traceability across lifecycle phases from requirements to verification.
• Contribute to Digital Engineering Infrastructure, including the Systems Integration Laboratory and virtual collaboration environments.

Required profile

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years experience in digital systems design and integration.
• Proven experience in systems architecture development within Defence or regulated environments.
• Eligibility for Australian Government Security Clearance (NV1 or higher).

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in MBSE methodologies and tools (SysML, UML).
• Hands‑on experience with CATIA, Cameo, Enterprise Architect, AFSIM, ANSYS.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and coding languages such as Python and JavaScript.
• Understanding of secure systems design and Defence standards.
