Systems Integrator – 12‑month contract

About the role

The Systems Integrator will join Leidos Australia’s GEO SPACES Program, supporting the sustainment and evolution of complex defence and national security systems. This 12‑month contract offers the chance to work on high‑impact, mission‑critical solutions within a secure, collaborative engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance, sustain and integrate systems across the GEO SPACES Program, ensuring solutions remain secure, reliable and aligned to operational requirements.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, software engineers, architects, project teams and stakeholders to investigate issues, implement changes and support engineering decisions throughout the system lifecycle.
• Support Engineering Change Proposals, systems analysis, requirements management and design activities, guiding capabilities through governance and assurance processes.
• Partner with Configuration Management and Verification & Validation teams to ensure changes are controlled, traceable, verified and documented.

Required profile

• Experienced Systems Engineer or Systems Integrator with a methodical approach to complex environments.
• Strong understanding of engineering governance, assurance frameworks and risk management.
• Effective communication skills for engaging both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Systems engineering principles and lifecycle management.
• Systems integration and sustainment experience.
• Engineering change management and configuration‑controlled environments.
• Verification and validation processes.
• Agile or hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with ITIL‑aligned service management (advantageous).
