Systems Engineer – Infrastructure (Sydney)

About the role

Life Trading is seeking a Systems Engineer to join its Infrastructure team in Sydney. The role is hands‑on and focuses on operating, maintaining and continuously improving the corporate IT and end‑user computing environment that supports 24/7 trading activities.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows domain services, including Active Directory, Group Policy and automated deployment tools.
• Manage Office 365, Google Workspace and Azure AD (EntraID) for user lifecycle automation and security policy enforcement.
• Design, implement and maintain configuration‑management and infrastructure‑as‑code solutions.
• Install, configure and maintain server hardware and support basic network equipment (switching, routing, monitoring).
• Perform rack‑and‑stack operations, cable management and physical infrastructure upkeep.
• Provide desktop and laptop support for Windows and macOS, including hardware procurement, imaging and mobile device management.
• Deliver help‑desk support, resolve technical tickets and automate onboarding/off‑boarding processes.
• Support off‑site events and office moves with AV, networking and equipment setup.

Required profile

• Strong technical background in Windows and network infrastructure.
• Passion for automation and experience working in high‑availability environments.
• Ability to collaborate with Development, Trading and Operations teams.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on reliability and performance.
