Systems Administrator

About the role

Leidos Australia is seeking a Systems Administrator to lead end‑to‑end systems integration across complex, multi‑vendor environments. You will work closely with customers, architects, engineers and delivery teams to ensure hardware, software, networks and platforms operate securely and reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Lead system integration activities throughout the lifecycle, including design, build, verification and acceptance.
• Develop and execute integration strategies, plans, procedures and test artefacts.
• Integrate complex systems comprising hardware, software, firmware, networks and external interfaces.
• Identify, analyse and resolve integration risks, issues and dependencies across subsystems.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and integration team members.

Required profile

• Demonstrated experience integrating hardware, software and networked systems in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Strong capability with VMware vSphere suite (ESXi, vCenter) and Windows and/or Linux environments.
• Hands‑on experience with automation, scripting and IaC tools such as Python, Bash, Ansible or Terraform.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across physical and virtual infrastructure.
• Australian citizenship with a valid TSPV security clearance and AGO DISA.
